About AWM

Production of props and costumes run in the blood, from helping with the Panto at church to the family production line in helping with school shows, you name it we have had a go at making it. More recently a more targeted approach has been developed and costumes for shows and performance have grown, furniture and other props collected and even a large computerised embroidery machine has added to the collection.

  • AWM Costume Warehouse

    We have a collection of over 5,000 garments for both Childrens and Adult sizes, from period to modern day, we can costume complete shows or we can work with your costume department to fill the gaps in your own stock. We also work with other suppliers to provide the full service, for shows we cannot do from our own stock. We are also happy to make stage wear for clients direct for sale.

  • AWM Props

    We have a collection of props and furniture, of different periods, most of it retained because of its suitability for stage use, from a set of Bentwood chairs, lightweight sofas and other items that will dress your stage.

  • AWM Embroidery

    We are happy to design and either stitch out on your own garments or to provide the garment with the embroidery, happy to personalise on an individual garment, and we do not have a minimum order or a set up charge (as long as you do not ask us too often for design work and never order very much).

  • AWM Stilts

    We have a stock of over 30 prs of stilts, ranging fro one foot high up to 6 foot high, we have costumes for the different heights so we can per- form for you, train your own cast to use the stilts and hire you the stilts and the costume that goes with it.

    Andy has been involved in youth work and theatre for far too many years, 20 with SOSage Factory, 30 with various Gang Shows and 25 performing and supporting amateur Musical theatre groups. Stilt Walking has been an interest for over 15 years, and Andy set up 'Stiff and Stilted' a group of scouts who both perform and train young people to stilt walk.
